I was tagged by Catriona of Little Book Owl to do this tag, and I'm so glad I did it. It made me realize I've had some great reads this year. It also made me realize I've got quite a few books on my to-be-read list that I've just got to get to before the year is out. How about you? Any books you're set on reading before we dance into 2017?
I had a pretty great reading month in July: checked out some of this summer's buzziest reads, including THE GIRLS by Emma Cline and BEFORE THE FALL by Fargo TV show writer Noah Hawley, as well as *drumroll* J.K. Rowling's new addition to the Harry Potter story (I consider it more an alternative-universe-where-this-could've-happened-but-not-really kind of thing. More on that in the video). You'll see what I felt lived up to the hype, a book that terrifically blurs lines between horror and genre, and what I'm currently reading (which includes what people are calling "this summer's GONE GIRL/last summer's THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN").
