NOVEMBER WRAP-UP

I read some great books recently, which is a wonderful way to approach the end of the year (although that makes putting together a Favorite Books of 2016 list much more difficult). What did you read this month? Anything you'd recommend? ^_^

MID-YEAR BOOK FREAKOUT TAG

I was tagged by Catriona of Little Book Owl to do this tag, and I'm so glad I did it. It made me realize I've had some great reads this year. It also made me realize I've got quite a few books on my to-be-read list that I've just got to get to before the year is out. How about you? Any books you're set on reading before we dance into 2017?

July Reading Wrap-Up + August TBR

I had a pretty great reading month in July: checked out some of this summer's buzziest reads, including THE GIRLS by Emma Cline and BEFORE THE FALL by Fargo TV show writer Noah Hawley, as well as *drumroll* J.K. Rowling's new addition to the Harry Potter story (I consider it more an alternative-universe-where-this-could've-happened-but-not-really kind of thing. More on that in the video). You'll see what I felt lived up to the hype, a book that terrifically blurs lines between horror and genre, and what I'm currently reading (which includes what people are calling "this summer's GONE GIRL/last summer's THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN"). I also share with you what I hope to finish before the month is out. What are you reading right now? Anything interesting you're hoping to get into? Let me know below, and happy…

FAVORITE BOOK COVERS & AN OCD SIDENOTE

Of course, we know looks aren't everything, but there's just something about a beautiful book that makes you want to pick it up, caress it, sniff it, and slip it slowly from its book cover. Mmmm...I can just hear the slow jams playing in the background right now... What we were talking about, again? Oh, right. Books. Books. And regarding the OCD storytime, I was so pleased to see that I'm not the only one! I knew it wasn't just me! ^_^
