SWEATER AS ART | DANIEL SILVERSTAIN

I discovered a fantastic designer at the end of 2016. Daniel Silverstain puts an incredible amount of thought into his designs, and I completely fell for the White.City collection. It was inspired by the Bauhaus movement (which influenced a lot of architecture), as well as Israel and the future.

Cool tidbit:

Daniel Silverstain is a former musician and recording artist.

Great asymmetry and juxtaposition of futuristic, metallic flash with soft, see-through gauze.

Lines are clean and volume is oversized. He was also inspired by both the Mediterranean Sea and the desert.

I really enjoyed this silhouette : pairing the oversized sweater with fitted jeans.

Check out more of Daniel Silverstein’s designs here and here.
